12th Annual Ministers/Spouse Retreat

The GCBA 12th Annual Ministers/Spouse Retreat was held on February 22 - 24 at the Embassy Suites near the Galleria in Houston. We had 46 couples in attendance for either all or part of the weekend. This retreat is the highlight of the year for the GCBA staff each year.

Bobby and Jackie Fuller Commissioning Service

Bobby and Jackie Fuller were commissioned by the North American Mission Board on February 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church, Rincon, Georgia. The following was taken from the program for the evening:

Bobby Fuller works for Gulf Coast Baptist Association as director of Texas Port Ministry in Freeport. Working with churches, volunteers, and Port Authorities, Bobby coordinates ministry that meets spiritual, social and physical needs of the Freeport harbor community. Jackie splits her time as Pregnancy Help Center director, and volunteering at Texas Port Ministry. She is Bobby's greatest encourager.

Prayer Request:  Pray for God's guidance as Bobby looks for opportunities to expand the ministry beyond just seafarers. Pray that God would give Bobby and his ministry partners many opportunities to tell of His plan concerning Christ.
